How fast is onboarding if I'm already licensed?

Fast — because every step is electronic. Once you decide to join, the whole sponsorship runs through NMLS the same day you start it:

  • You log in to NMLS, go to Filing → Company Access, and grant access to Home Central Financial (NMLS #1181137) — a few minutes.
  • We establish the relationship and file the sponsorship on our side — same day, our habit, not a someday promise.
  • The DFPI processes the sponsorship. Processing times are set by the regulator, but once these steps are done it's typically a matter of days, not weeks.

No office visit, no printing — your agreement is e-signed and the NMLS steps happen online.

My license says "Approved-Inactive" — what does that mean for me?

It means you're the fastest possible hire. Your license is already issued — it's just waiting for a sponsoring company. As soon as you grant us NMLS access and we file the sponsorship, you can originate once the DFPI confirms it. If that's you, apply today and mention it in the form.

Do I have to come into the office to onboard?

No. Your agreement is emailed to you for electronic signature after your call with Miguel — review it, sign on your phone or laptop, and your copy lands in your inbox. The NMLS and sponsorship steps are all online too. Federal law recognizes electronic signatures for this paperwork, so nothing needs printing.

Can I work remotely, or do I need to be in the office?

Either works — it's your call. We have an office at 7847 Florence Ave #101 in Downey with a desk waiting if you like working alongside the team, and fully remote works too — files, e-signatures, NMLS steps, and support are all electronic, so remote loan officers get the same mentorship and lender access as anyone in the office. Many of our people mix both.

I'm not licensed yet — how long does that path take?

The licensing itself is the long part, and it's set by NMLS, not by us: 20 hours of pre-licensing education (including the California DFPI content), the SAFE test, and the background, fingerprint, and credit checks. Most people who keep a steady pace finish in one to two months. The moment your license is issued, our side moves fast — we file the sponsorship electronically.
