Will home improvements increase the value of my home in Downey CA?

Home owners are constantly curious which home improvements will offer the best return on their money. We all dream of luxurious master bathrooms with humongous closets or a kitchen any pro chef would love to cook in. Sure a completely redone master bath is amazing, but if there is a leak in the roof or a musty smell from mildew in the basement, many buyers are going to be turned off.

Most buyers have a budget, and maintenance items that will need their immediate attention can many times cut too much into that budget and force them to look at other homes for sale.  So while we all want to impress with the major room upgrades it is imperative to first direct your budget at the not so glamorous maintenance items.
